Festival of Politics – Mestre, September 11–14, 2025

A unique opportunity to discover the city from a new perspective
Every year, Mestre becomes the stage for one of Italy’s most engaging cultural events: the Festival of Politics, organized by the Gianni Pellicani Foundation. This is an unmissable event for those who enjoy engaging in dialogue about major contemporary issues, and for anyone who wants to experience the city in a different way—through debates, talks, and thought-provoking encounters.
What is the Festival of Politics?
The Festival of Politics is a series of talks, presentations, and public dialogues featuring some of Italy’s most respected intellectuals, journalists, scholars, and political figures. Each edition focuses on a central theme—often linked to current affairs or global challenges—and offers accessible insights and discussions for everyone. No technical background is required—just curiosity and an open mind.
Past editions have welcomed guests such as Paolo Mieli, Marco Damilano, Ezio Mauro, Sabino Cassese, Chiara Saraceno, Lucia Annunziata, and many others. While the level of content is high, the tone remains open, engaging, and inclusive.
Where does it take place?
The heart of the Festival is in the center of Mestre, around Teatro Toniolo, M9 – the Museum of the 20th Century, Piazza Ferretto, and other cultural venues. This makes it the perfect event to enjoy while walking through the city, soaking in the pleasant weather and the vibrant urban atmosphere that the festival brings.
When does it happen?
The Festival is held every year in September (check the official website festivalpolitica.it for current dates), with events taking place throughout the weekend.
