From September 1 to 21, 2025<\/strong>, Forte Marghera becomes an exceptional stage for the fifth edition of Venere in Teatro<\/strong>, the festival dedicated to contemporary dance and experimental performance. Set within the green spaces of this historic park in mainland Venice, the event is part of the city\u2019s cultural calendar \u201cLe Citt\u00e0 in Festa\u201d<\/strong>, curated by APS Live Arts Cultures<\/strong> in collaboration with Perypezye Urbane<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Festival About Transformation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s theme draws inspiration from the idea of the \u201cmid-season\u201d \u2013 a symbolic passage, a shift, a metamorphosis. Transformation\u2014whether physical, emotional, or social\u2014is the thread that connects all the performances, installations, and workshops on the schedule. In a time of great changes for the performing arts scene, the festival continues to support emerging creativity and experimental research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three Weeks of Events, Performances, and Guests from Across Europe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nine evenings open to the public<\/strong>, featuring 19 companies and artists<\/strong>, including premieres, participatory projects, and international guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • It all starts on September 1<\/strong> with a community workshop led by Chiara Frigo<\/strong>, which will culminate in a public performance on Thursday, September 4 at 6:30 PM<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The first weekend includes a Kafka-inspired piece by C&C Company<\/strong>, two national premieres (Pink Motel<\/em> and Kaukokaipuu<\/em>), and a special performance by Poland\u2019s Krakow Dance Theater<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • On September 7<\/strong>, the section dedicated to long-form performances<\/strong> begins, with Daniele Ninarello<\/strong> performing in conjunction with the exhibition \u201cArtefici del nostro tempo\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    • On September 13\u201314<\/strong>, rising talents, choreographers, and international performers take the stage, including Camille Poudret<\/strong>, Ad\u00e9l Juh\u00e0sz<\/strong>, Sal\u00f4m\u00e9 Guillemin<\/strong>, and Finland\u2019s Recover Laboratory<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The final day features Chiara Frigo<\/strong> with Matrioska<\/em> and emerging artist Francesca Santamaria<\/strong>, on Sunday, September 21<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
